Paul Valentino
Paul Valentino, currently resides in Central Florida. He is the Academic Dean for Global and Online courses for Remington College. Paul has been a member of Remington College since 2011 and has had several assignments such as Instructor, Adjunct, Department Chair for the Criminal Justice/Paralegal Programs, Interim Dean, Global Dean and Global and Online Dean.
Paul has been in adult and post-secondary education for more than twenty five years. He is a retired Police Chief with more than thirty years of public safety experience in special operations, management, education, training, organizational development, strategic planning, professional compliance, specialized investigations and leadership.
Throughout his professional life he has leveraged his skills in public safety and post-secondary education to evolve into a proven and driven servant leader.
Paul has a steadfast dedication to his work, pursuing organizational excellence and remaining steadfast to mission-specific goals and academic success. He is also a Board Member Director for Wounded Warriors Outdoor Adventures which is a nonprofit organization that provides service to military veterans, first responders and their families.
In his leisure he spends time with his wife Janette, three children Kevin, Alyssa, Ashley and their seven grandchildren Jake, Jaiden, Brantley, William, Lilly, Amelia and Colt.
He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and spending time in upstate New York with the Wounded Warrior’s Outdoor Adventures community.
Jennifer Rhoads
Jennifer Rhoads is one of Remington College’s longest tenured instructors, starting with the school in November of 2009. In 2014 she became Program Director at the Little Rock campus. In 2016, Jennifer moved over to Remington College Online, where she is the Program Chair for the Allied Health department.
Jennifer is finishing up her PhD in Health Services/Community Medicine this July. She also has Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Psychology. She is a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), a certified Allied Health Instructor (AHI), and a Nationally Certified EKG Technician (NCEKG).
Jennifer’s previous work experience includes the North Metro Medical Center, US Air Force Veteran – Medical Technician, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), and US Army Veteran – Psychological Warfare Specialist. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters (19, 4), one son (16) and their three dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing, long distance backpacking/hiking, camping, kayaking, and road cycling
Sheila Wimsett
Sheila found Remington College Online after wanting to change careers and find something that was more suitable to her needs and family. She knew from the start what she was looking for in a career. She was working as a massage therapist, which was too physical to be a long term career and to meet her goals. She knew she wanted to be in the medical field, but she wanted to be more in the office setting. With her son also doing online classes for school, she felt that this was the perfect opportunity to start her new career path and complete her Medical Office Administration program online. Her son has always been one of her biggest motivations. Sheila powered through the 8-month program to graduate with a 4.0 and is currently working within her field.
Sheila was chosen as student of the year because she showed strength and determination during a time of uncertainty last year. She set a standard for her educational goals, and finished every class she took with an A! She took her CMAA certification and passed on her first test! She continuously worked with Career Services through the Pandemic. She ended up being placed in her career and she was able to quit her other 2 jobs! It is unbelievable to see what she was able to achieve since starting her Medical Office Administration program last year. She never gave up, even when the world around her was changing. Sheila is capable of achieving anything after the success and determination she showed during the program, and that is why she should be Student of the Year!
