The teachers were always willing to answer any questions I had, as well as show me anything I needed or wanted to learn about. I also loved our hair shows! We were able to showcase our talents and creativity! The whole school would come see our shows, giving us the confidence and support that kept us motivated!

My mother was my inspiration, as she also went to beauty school! She was always styling my hair, doing my makeup and facial care, and giving me pedicures, when I was growing up! I have many fond memories, with my mom, primping and pampering each other! We give each other pedicures to this day! I’ll always cherish times like these with her!

Persevere!! If there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s never giving up; even if the odds are against you, I promise you, you will find a way! And always remember, you can never know it all! That’s why you’re in college, to learn and grow and you will have times of doubt, but like I said persevere!

I plan to open my own hair salon! I’m very excited to grow and learn in my field, as it’s always changing with the time! I love what I do, and I’m finally doing what I love!

I would first like to thank my husband! He was the one who encouraged me to follow my dreams! He funded my education, gave me a shoulder to lean on, and motivated me to finish my degree! I love you more, babe! I would like to thank my parents for all the love and guidance along the way. Y’all don’t know how much it means to me to have made each of you proud. I would like to give a special thank you to the family that took care of my children while I was at school! If it weren’t for your generosity, I wouldn’t be where I am today! Having that kind of support touched my heart! I would also like to thank the friends I made on this journey! You all opened me up and became an amazing support system of sister! Lastly, but certainly not least, my teachers! Each of you provided me with great wisdom, care, and leadership! School related or not, y’all just wanted to see us succeed! I truly am grateful for the time I spent at Remington College!
